Nuclear Medicine

Nuclear Medicine is a medical specialty that is used to diagnose and treat disease in a safe and painless way. It differs from other diagnostic imaging technologies because it determines the presence of disease on the basis of biological changes rather than changes in organ structure.

Our department has a state of the art, dual head gamma camera to detect and map the radioactive drug in a patient’s body to create diagnostic images.

Our Nuclear medicine technologist is from an accredited Nuclear medicine school in Kansas City and is a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT). Our technologist is sensitive to patients’ physical and psychological needs, paying attention to detail, following instructions and working as part of the team.

Our goal and privilege, is to combine the most advanced medicine with a passion for putting the patient first.
